Drug treatment is beneficial in eustachian dysfunctions that develop in a short time due to reasons such as upper respiratory tract infection or allergic rhinitis. In long-term chronic eustachian functions, drug therapy is often unsuccessful.

Although many different methods have been tried in the treatment of chronic eustachian occlusions, no effective method has been found, and placing an aeration tube on the eardrum in order to balance the middle ear pressure has been the most preferred method.

Today, Eustachian tube balloon dilatation is the newest and most effective method for dysfunction of the Eustachian tube.
